'Only if we are capable of dwelling, only then can we build'
-- Heidegger
AK is a young, motivated, contemporary architectural practice dedicated and passionate about delivering elegant and functional solutions.
AK believes in collaborative work and dedication. We sustain a research methodology in design as our distinctive and only approach, by which, we are committed to providing original solutions and an architecture that reflects our client's culture, needs and aspirations.
Amjad alKoud is an architect graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in 2009 with a Master's in Architecture, in 2003 he has earned his first postgraduate degree in History and Theories of Architecture from Damascus University, same school which awarded him a Bachelor of Architecture in 2000. Mr. alKoud is a licensed architect and has worked in many architectural firms. He is a member of the Syrian Syndicate of Architects and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
We are committed to a sustainable approach to architecture, with designs that are appropriate to the client, carefully detailed and timeless. By working closely with our clients we believe we can reach a unique architecture that determines their spatial and organizational needs, and both cost-effective and environmentally sensitive solutions. Although our design is unique, it reflects each client's visions and requirements. With a concern for the total human environment, our design philosophy is to provide intelligent designs that stem from nature. To achieve that goal we cultivate clients who can relate to our principles.
